Summary

As global communications lead, you will work within Wholesale & Rural on communications related to key international strategic priorities. You translate complex topics into clear narratives, key messages and communication materials for employees, leaders and regional teams. You will also support the global launch and activation of the International Cooperative. In this role, you create communications for senior leaders and work closely with Global Marketing & Communications and a wide range of stakeholders across the organisation. You play an important role in connecting colleagues worldwide to Rabobank’s strategic direction.

Where will you work?

You will be part of Rabobank’s Global Marketing & Communications team, supporting the Wholesale & Rural business lines. You will collaborate with colleagues across regions and disciplines to communicate international strategic priorities in a clear and consistent way.

What will you do?

• You develop and coordinate communication plans for international strategic priorities.
• You translate complex strategies into clear narratives, key messages and communication materials.
• You support the global launch and activation of the International Cooperative.
• You create leadership briefings, speeches, video scripts and employee communications.
• You align communication activities with regional teams and stakeholders.
• You work closely with the Global Marketing & Communications team.
• You ensure consistent and effective storytelling across an international environment.

What do you bring?

• You have a master’s degree in Communications or a related field.
• You have at least 10 years of senior-level experience within an international organisation.
• You have proven experience in communications within an international environment.
• You have extensive experience in employee and leadership communications.
• You have experience with international community building.
• You have strong editorial skills and are an excellent storyteller.
• You are fluent in spoken and written English.
• You are strategic, hands-on and well organised.
• You have strong stakeholder management and communication planning skills.
• You preferably have knowledge of the Dutch language.

What do we offer?

• Assignment duration: 23 November 2026 to 1 March 2027, with a possible extension of up to 6 months.
• Hours per week: 36.
• Location & hybrid working: Utrecht, hybrid working with two fixed office days per week (Mondays and Wednesdays).
• Start date: 23 November 2026 or earlier if possible.
• Contract type: Interim and/or secondment. Freelancers (ZZP) are not explicitly excluded from this assignment.
